The Bear’s Den · Ludlow, VT

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about the house, booking, and the stay. We do not invent policies here — if a detail still needs confirming for your dates, we say so.

Where is The Bear’s Den?

Downtown Ludlow, Vermont, near Okemo Mountain Resort — a village Main Street location, not a slope-side condo. The house is at 56 Main Street (Ludlow 05149). Check-in instructions and access details are sent after your stay is confirmed.

How many guests, bedrooms, beds, and baths?

The entire home sleeps up to 8 guests across 4 bedrooms and 7 beds, with 3 bathrooms. That is the maximum occupancy — we do not add extra mattresses beyond the listed beds.

What is the minimum stay?

Two nights. Some holiday or peak weekends may require a longer stay once a live quote is issued; the site minimum is 2 nights.

Are pets allowed?

Yes — the home is pet-friendly. Fees, number of animals, and any house limits are confirmed on request when you inquire (include pet details on the request form). Do not assume an unlisted animal is approved until you hear back.

Is there parking?

On-site parking is available. Space, winter access, and how many vehicles fit are confirmed with your hold so we can match the group and the season. Downtown Ludlow also has village street parking subject to local rules.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is after 4:00 pm. Check-out is before 11:00 am. Early check-in or late check-out is not promised; ask when you request dates if you need a window change.

What is the cancellation policy?

The cancellation terms are shared with your quote and hold. This website uses a request-to-book flow: you are not charged on this page. Do not treat a date request as a paid reservation until we confirm in writing.

How do I book?

Use Check dates on the home page to pick dates and guest count, then complete the request on Request dates. You will not be charged yet. We confirm availability and next steps by email. There is no payment collected on this prototype until a stay is confirmed.

Is there EV charging?

An EV charger is available at the property. Connector type, access, and any usage notes are confirmed on request so you can plan the drive.

What’s nearby?

Okemo Mountain Resort is a short drive; downtown Ludlow is outside the door — shops, bakeries, and kitchens along Main Street. Year-round: skiing and riding in winter; Adventure Zone, hiking, golf at Fox Run, and the Black River in warmer months; foliage drives in fall. See the About Ludlow guide for activities, restaurants, and events.

Are parties allowed?

No parties unless pre-approved in writing. Quiet hours are respected for downtown neighbors. Maximum occupancy remains 8 guests.

What does a typical stay include?

Entire home with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, wood stove, game room, group gathering spaces, free WiFi, and year-round access. Availability and the final quote are confirmed after you request dates.
